
Glynis Davies
Role: Honorary Elder and Ministry Team member; Spiritual Ministry; Preaching; Charity liaison.
Glynis was born in a small village in South Wales, one of the baby boomers, and a teenager in the very colourful 1960s. She was secretary/PA until she and Ray were married in 1968, as Ray was in the military we moved around a lot with their two daughters and one son and they had fifty wonderful years together, living in Germany and Hong Kong as well as the UK until retirement. Ray then joined BAE and they lived in Saudi Arabia for many years; during this time they ran a small church and were involved in Alpha. Moving to Spain they imagined they would simply enjoy church but the Lord had other plans. They were founder members of Benitachell Christian Fellowship, Ray went home to be with the Lord in 2018. Glynis continues to serve the Lord in BCF as she believes it is just where he needs her, She says that there is no retirement as a Christian and she desires to be in the Centre of God’s will always.
Lorraine Henshaw
Role: Deacon and Ministry Team member; Pastoral Care Ministry; Prayer Group; Media and PR; Service Team
Born in Lymm, Cheshire, Lorraine is married to Eric and her home church is also the Bridge in Bolton. She has one son, Chris who lives in the UK.
Lorraine spent most of her career in the media, and for 9 years prior to living in Spain, she was a senior manager and trainer at the Manchester Evening News, Guardian Media Group. She has one son living in Bolton Greater Manchester. As well as her church ministries, Lorraine continues to work in publishing, providing PR services for a North West book publisher. She recently worked on biographies for Ken Dodd’s widow, Chris Tarrant, Tony Christie, Sean Wilson who played Martin Platt in Coronation Street and the biography of Larry Grayson – “Shut that door!”
Lorraine was also an NVQ Assessor and she is a qualified Personal Performance Coach. She enjoys challenges and has skydived and walked on fire and broken glass for charities. Her hobbies are dancing, exercise, and reading and her favourite pastime is being with family and friends.
Eric Henshaw
Role: Deacon and Ministry Team member: Church Administrator; Treasurer; Sunday Service Ministry; Music Worship; Worship Production, Social Media.
Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Eric moved to Spain permanently with his wife Lorraine in January 2014. They joined the church in 2014 with their home church being the Bridge in Bolton. He has two children, one (his son) living in Greater Manchester, and his daughter living in Berlin. He has four grandchildren. Eric has been a soldier serving in The Parachute Regiment; a Firefighter in Greater Manchester Fire Brigade and until his retirement in 2009 he was managing director of the Bolton Evening News Group in Greater Manchester. Thereafter along with Lorraine, they ran a successful Marketing and Printing business.
His interests are playing the guitar both “pop” and classical and Karate at which he holds a 4th Dan black belt. He is definitely the oldest Karateka in town!
Cynthia Mayor
Role: Deacon and Ministry Team Leader: Prayer Ministry; Outreach Ministry; Services Team; Music Worship;
Cynthia is married to Paul and has 2 adult sons.
They live permanently in Spain having first lived in France for 10 years.She was born in Yorkshire and lived most of her life in Lancashire. Cynthia was saved at a very young age when she gave her life and heart to Jesus. At age 16 she was baptised in water and also received the Babtism of the Holy Spirit who enabled her in
her teenage years to be used in worship ministry. Cynthia says “After falling away from God for some years I rededicated my life to the Lord who has never left me but walked with me throughout my whole life.”
Cynthia spent her working years initially in the Civil Service for a number of years and laterly as PA to the Nursing Director in the NHS. She felt the call to minister the gospel from the pulpit approximately 8 years ago and has been in preparation ever since. This call was verified by prophecy said over her. Says Cynthia “Jesus is my all in all and has carried me through many troubled times.”
