Eric Henshaw

Eric Henshaw
Role: Treasurer; Music Worship; Worship Production, Social Media.

Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Eric moved to Spain permanently with his wife Lorraine in January 2014. They joined the church in 2014 with their home church being the Bridge in Bolton. He has two children, one (his son) living in the UK, and his daughter living in Berlin, and four grandchildren

Eric has been a soldier serving in The Parachute Regiment; a firefighter and until his retirement in 2009 he was managing director of the Bolton Evening News Group. Thereafter along with Lorraine, they ran a successful Marketing and Printing business.

His interests are playing the guitar both “pop” and classical and Karate at which he holds a 4th Dan black belt. He is definitely the oldest Karateka in town!

Lorraine Henshaw

Lorraine Henshaw
Role: Deacon and Ministry Team member; Pastoral care; Prayer Group; Media and PR.

Born in Lymm, Cheshire, Lorraine is married to Eric and her home church is also the Bridge in Bolton.  She has one son,  Chris who lives in the UK.  

Lorraine spent most of her career in the media, and for 9 years prior to living in Spain, she was a manager and trainer at the Manchester Evening News, Guardian Media Group. As well as her church ministries, Lorraine continues to work in publishing, providing PR services for a North West book publisher. She recently worked on biographies for Ken Dodd’s widow, Chris Tarrant, Tony Christie, Sean Wilson who played Martin Platt in Coronation Street and the biography of Larry Grayson – “Shut that door!”

Lorraine was also an NVQ Assessor and she is a qualified Personal Performance Coach. She enjoys challenges and has skydived and walked on fire and broken glass for charities. Her hobbies are dancing, exercise, and reading and her favourite pastime is being with family and friends.  

Glynis Davies

Glynis Davies
Role: Deacon and Ministry Team member; Spiritual Ministry, Preaching.

Glynis was born in Wales then as a military wife, she lived in Hong Kong and Germany. She had always been a churchgoer but committed her life to Christ in Germany in 1978.  A year later Glynis and her husband Ray joined the Salvation Army, the day before they left for the third posting to Hong Kong. This time was so different, meeting missionaries, visiting the famous walled city, and meeting Christians from different countries.

The Lord called them to work full time in His service and they were amazed at the doors He opened.  The Falklands war meant a change of plans.

In 1990 Glynis went to Saudi Arabia as a British Aerospace wife she can assure you she did not cause the war!  They ran a fellowship with Bible Studies, Alpha, and weekly service for 10 years. Glynis and Ray assumed when they left they would be retired.  However, as founder members of BCF, they found that God had more for them to do.  Glynis says “Life as a Christian is never predictable and there is no retirement plan.”

Tony Fisher
Role: Digital Media Production and Webmaster

Born and educated in Leicester. Spent all his working life in the electronics industry and in latter years as an International Business Manager in the aerospace and defence markets serving Boeing in the USA and Airbus in Europe. He moved to Spain in 2003 and lived in Benitachell for 14 years before moving to Javea.
He actively works on the BCF website and assists with the Sunday services.


David Preston

David Preston
Role: Preaching Team; Service Production Team; Worship Music

David Preston – David is married to Tina and between them, they have 5 children.  David originally came from a Reform Jewish upbringing but fell away from this after his Bar-Mitzvah.  At 18 he joined the Army with what was then the 3rd Battalion The Queens Regiment and served 9 years leaving as a Lance Corporal.  In 1995 he joined Kent Police and spent 10 years as a uniformed officer, 3 years as a Law Trainer, and his final 10 years as a Senior Detective working on Domestic Abuse, Race/Hate Crime, and Serious Sexual Assault crimes

In 2019, Tina and David felt God’s calling to move to Spain and spread God’s Word.  David has Preached many times at Jalon Valley Church, and Javea International Baptist Church and is accredited with the Christian Leaders Institute.  He is now one of our Preachers at The Church On The Mountain.

David gave his life to Christ in 2003 2 days before his second youngest son passed away aged 15.  He has been involved in Praise and Worship both as a musician and as a Worship Leader. 

His musical interests include playing drums, guitar, ukulele, and harmonica.

He has an extensive background in various Martial Arts including Judo, Ju-Jitsu and Karate of which he holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt. 

Cynthia Mayor

Cynthia Mayor
Role: Service Team; Pastoral Team; Prayer Team. Cynthia is married to Paul has 2 adult sons, and live permanently in Spain having first lived in France for 10 years.

She is Yorkshire-born and lived most of her life in Lancashire.
Cynthia was saved at a very young age when she gave her life and heart to Jesus. At age 16 she was baptised in water and also received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit who enabled her in her teenage years to be used in worship ministry. After falling away from God for some years she rededicated her life to the Lord who Cynthia says “has never left me but walked with me throughout my whole life.”

Cynthia spent her working years initially in the Civil Service for several years and latterly as PA to the Nursing Director in the NHS.

She felt the call to minister the gospel from the pulpit approximately 8 years ago and has been in preparation ever since. This call was verified by prophecy said over her.

Says cynthia “Jesus is my all in all and has carried me through many troubled times.”
