On 6th January 2021 (Epiphany), we ran a project – Pete Greig’s The Prayer Course – an 8 week journey through the Lord’s Prayer.
The format was as before with the Alpha . Sue Hunton posted each of the 8 episodes weekly for people to watch in their own time and then we met on zoom for a review and discussion and a prayer time on a Wednesday. Please email sue to book your place at sue_hunton@hotmail.com
If anybody would like to read ‘ How to pray; a simple guide for normal people ‘ by Pete Greig that would give good background but isn’t necessary. It is available in Kindle format on Amazon for 99p: Click here for Amazon link

Pete Greig is the bewildered founder of 24-7Prayer, an international, interdenominational movement of prayer, mission and justice which has been praying night-and-day for more than twenty years, and has reached more than half the nations on earth. He and his wife Sammy serve as Senior Pastors of Emmaus Rd, a church with congregations in Guildford and Woking, England, and split their time between a barge on the River Wey and an island off the coast.

Pete is an Ambassador for the NGO Tearfund, an Associate Tutor at St Mellitus Theological College, and a member of The Order of the Mustard Seed. He co-hosts Wildfires and The Big Church Day Out the UK’s largest Christian festival.
For eight years Pete was the Director of Prayer for Alpha International and HTB, a large Anglican church in London, although he himself is ordained in the Free Church tradition.
Pete contributes to the Lectio365 daily devotional. His books include Red Moon Rising, God on Mute and How to Pray. His memoir Dirty Glory won UK Christian Book of the Year, 2017. The Prayer Course has been downloaded more than a million times.
